I recently stayed at a hostel in Xi'an and had a wonderful experience. Jano's Backpackers is located in a great area, close to a metro station and within walking distance of the city wall. The staff at the hostel were incredibly friendly and helpful, and their fluency in English made communication easy. I loved the unique Chinese-style decorations and the friendly pet dog. The hostel had a welcoming atmosphere, and I enjoyed meeting and making friends with both Chinese and foreign travelers. The beds were comfortable and the common areas were cool and unique.
Nothing negative to say. 😊

I just stayed at this cool hostel in Xi'an and it was such a great value for my money! The room was comfy and spacious, and I loved the unique Chinese-style decorations downstairs. The location was perfect, close to the metro and the city wall, and I had a blast making friends with both Chinese and foreigners. The staff was super friendly and their English was excellent. Plus, the owner's big dog, do dou, added a special touch to the place.
The morning meal could have been better with more variety and options.

Staff were friendly and offered complimentary beers and a gyoza party. The rooms were clean and the hostel was well located in a charming district. Easy access to public transport and close to local markets and city walls.
The room was a bit dated and there was an unbearable smell from the bathroom pipes due to the hot weather. The bed sheets and cushions were stained and need replacing.

I had a great stay at Jano's Backpackers in Xi'an. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city and close to the historic City Wall. The hostel had a cozy and traditional village-like atmosphere that I really enjoyed. The beds were comfortable and the blankets were warm and cozy. Even though the rooms were underground, they were clean and well-ventilated. The value for money was excellent, and the staff, particularly the girl at the reception, were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hostel for a convenient and enjoyable stay in Xi'an.

Great location, close to bus stops and metro line 2. Overlooking city wall on a charming back street. Helpful staff, especially one young guy who went above and beyond to assist with writing place names and offering local bus advice. Essential facilities including laundry and computers. the bar attached to the hostel is lovely.
Felt so well taken care of, nothing was too much trouble.
